"Not your average English Course - It's so much better!"

Those are the words of a recent visitor who enjoyed a one-week immersive English course with me here in Shropshire.

Whether you are a junior or adult learner, my English in Shropshire courses are designed to help you make significant progress in your English skills while enjoying the cultural richness of the area. In this article, I want to share with you just some of the reasons that make my courses 'not average'.

English in Shropshire courses are available throughout my summer term:

Whilst I offer many different types of English courses throughout the year, it is during my summer term the magic really happens. During this time, my primary focus is on providing visitors with high-quality English courses that combine morning lessons with engaging afternoon excursions. The magic of this course is that language covered in morning lessons can be practised during the afternoon activities, and language gaps that arise in the afternoon can be targeted in the next morning’s lessons. This really is a magic formula which allows you to acquire English both in and out of the classroom whilst fully supported by the teacher.

There are several reasons why my courses stand out from the rest, but here are my top three.

  1. Optimised Learning

All excursions are guided by me, your teacher, which ensures that learning is optimised both in and out of the classroom. This integration of learning and real-life application helps students make meaningful breakthroughs in their English proficiency.

2. Hidden Gems

I have lived in Shropshire all my life, and I am excited to share with you the best hidden gems of our county. From the quaint corners of Shrewsbury to the lesser-known spots in the countryside, I will guide you to places and experiences you wouldn't find on your own. My intimate knowledge of the area means you'll gain insights and stories that only a local can provide, making your learning experience richer and more authentic.

3. A strong emphasis on socialising and real-life English.

Excursions often include visits to local pubs, where we can relax and chat for hours, and walks through the stunning landscapes of Shropshire, providing ample opportunities for conversation and practice. This social aspect of the courses is designed to make learning English enjoyable and effective, as you engage with both the language and the culture in a natural setting.

Join me this summer in the beautiful county of Shropshire for a unique English language and culture programme and make the English breakthrough that you are looking for.
