Why students celebrated when I put English course prices up

At the end of my spring/summer term, I announced in my newsletter that I would be increasing my prices. I expected my students to understand, but I was surprised by the number of students who actually congratulated me. It was a proud moment for me, and their support was heart-warming.

Why the Price Increase?

Since 2020, English language schools in the UK have faced many challenges. The two obvious ones, of course, being a global pandemic and Brexit. Adapting to these changes has meant a shift towards online teaching and corporate (workplace) courses. Compared to the pre-pandemic era, during which courses were mostly for visitors to the UK, the latest range of courses offers many more options for students to study in their workplace or from home. While we are still delighted to welcome visitors in the summer, other types of courses have become much more popular.

It has been a tough journey, but one that has now led to a full teaching timetable once again. This English course price increase reflects the latest demand on my time.

A Thank You to My Students

My students know how much effort has gone into building this updated business model, and their congratulations mean the world to me. They recognise that this milestone is a testament to our strong relationships and mutual commitment to success.

Thank you to all my wonderful students for your continued support and encouragement. Here’s to celebrating our success together!

For existing students and those who have already booked lessons starting in September, there has been no price increase for now.

For those considering lessons, you can find the new prices here.
